Jamila Gomez is a Project Manager at Houston METRO, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County. She managed and deployed Phase I of Houston’s first autonomous vehicle deployment on Texas Southern University’s campus. Now, she is overseeing delivery for Phase II of the automated vehicle deployment in the historic Third Ward community. Jamila continues to work on a broad portfolio of projects including hydrogen fuel cell electric buses, virtual reality training, and exploration of innovative first/late mile solutions.
