Tom Lambert became METRO’s President and CEO in 2014 after serving as acting President for just over one year. He leads a team of more than 4,000 people. Since becoming president and CEO, Lambert has made taking care of his customers and “delivering a quality product every day” his personal priority, as well as the priority of every single department and employee. Tom Lambert joined METRO as a security investigator in 1979, its first full year of operation. Following the creation of the METRO Police Department in 1982, Lambert became its first chief of police. He held that position for many years before moving on to other leadership roles including chief administrative officer, executive vice president and acting president and CEO.
